Golf Fore Kids

We are so excited about the upcoming 19th Annual Golf Fore Kids.  The community support for this event has been astounding, and we thank everyone who has participated and donated over the years to make this tournament possible.  Golf Fore Kids has helped bring Christmas gifts to hundreds of children each year and has raised over $850,000 in cash and toys.  That is an incredible feat!

Golf Fore Kids is a 4-person scramble golf tournament created to aid underprivileged children in the Virgin Valley, Moapa Valley, and Scenic/Beaver Dam/ Littlefield areas during the Holiday Season.  Entry fees are a minimum of one (1) $75.00 toy per participant.  Any and all other monies collected by the tournament committee will be donated to families in need.  Toys will be distributed by the Salvation Army, Mesquite Fire Department, Mesquite Police Department and local schools.  Your participation and donations will be greatly appreciated by all the kids in our surrounding communities.

Of all the wonderful charity golf events held in Mesquite, possibly one of the most anticipated is the annual Golf Fore Kids Tournament.  Every year golfers assemble at four local courses and bring toys, bikes, balls, scooters, dolls and art supplies to donate to local children.  Trailers are filled to the brim, Santa’s helpers work overtime, and because of the generosity of our local citizens, hundreds of kids will smile a little brighter this Christmas season.

This year marks the 18th Annual Golf Fore Kids Event.  As usual, Falcon Ridge, Palms, Canyons, and Conestoga golf courses have graciously donated their course for the day.  Golfers will tee off at 9am then be treated to lunch afterwards at the Rising Star Barn. There will be prizes for closest to the pins, winning teams, and a large raffle that never disappoints.

Hole sponsorships are available for $50 for one course or $150 for all four courses.  The individual or company name and any other message requested will be printed on a sign and posted on a tee box for all golfers to see.  And like everything else, 100% of the funds go directly to the kids.  If you wish to sign up for a sponsorship you can do so online by going to www.golfforekidsnv.org or emailing kfielding.mesquitenv@gmail.com .

If you wish to donate to the raffle, luncheon or goodie bags (which are given to 560 golfers),  please email bwursten@mesquitegaming.com.  Anything is appreciated and you will be well recognized for your contribution. 

Tee time reservations will only be taken online.  If you wish to play in the event you can sign up by going to www.golfforekidsnv.org.  The site will open October 1st and will fill up quickly.  So don’t wait too long to reserve your spot.  You can make your selection of course, but it is on a first come – first serve basis.

Golf Fore Kids has raised over $850,000 in in cash and toys for local children in our community.  What started as a small tournament at one course has grown into a huge event with 560 golfers, dozens of volunteers, trailers full of toys, and hundreds of happy children.  Thank you for your continued generosity and let’s make this the best year ever!
